Novak meltdown
Judith Miller might be surveying the landscape and figuring out that she's better off in jail. Better there than doing the slow, horrible and public meltdown that Robert Novak is performing before our very eyes. Both journalists are mixed up in the Bush Administration's apparent outing of an undercover CIA spook, and up until now I've been feeling sorry for the most famous she-con since Martha. But now I see it's the dude on the outside who is in pain.
It's all very Wizard of Oz. Dorothy (Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald) throws a bucket of water at the flaming scarecrow (Miller) but hits the Wicked Witch of the West (Novak) who screams as he shrinks and sizzles into a puddle of goo, until there's nothing left but his broomstick and hat.
Yesterday, Novak swore and walked off the set of one of those CNN shoutfests that absolutely nobody with a life cares about. What will kill Novak, when he looks back on it, is that he was goaded into this meltdown by arch nemesis James Carville, who basically called him a tool for the far-right establishment. Which of course, he is. Carville — for some reason, Novak didn't think to call him a tool of the far-left establishment — had the mother of all smirks on his face, but no one else was amused. Both CNN and Novak apologized.
Figures. The only interesting thing that's ever happened on "Inside Politics," and CNN is apologizing for it. Sorry folks. Didn't mean for a little real drama to taint all this fake drama we churn out five days a week.

Mr Rowland:
Some time ago you published a book entitled "Earth to Hagerstown", where you expressed your view that Hagerstown is a too-white too-rural town that "just hasn't caught up with the times."
Today, its clear that the relic of antiquated and backwards thinking aren't the good white working people that you condescend to and despise, but you -- a relic of the hateful Jewish mentality that tore this country apart and turned it into a non-white diktat in the latter part of the 20th Century.
Let's face it, Tim, for the past twenty years the press masters that you so slavishly serve have chosen to park you in a media back water. Why? Twenty years ago they hoped you would learn to write. Now, they hope you'll just retire gracefully.
The lesson that you never learned, but which could have allowed you to make something of yourself, was to become one with the people that you serve through your columns, instead of railing against them, alienating them, and polluting their culture.
Because you have never learned to love the people in your community, you have been consigned to the dustbin of history. You've become irrelevant in a world you think you've mastered. An anachronism -- you are no longer a humor writer, but the butt of the joke.

Mr. Rowland - your problem is you've swallowed too much of this political correctness mentality. That tendency resurfaced in your May 7th column in the Hagerstown newspaper. Here's some reasons why the Klan is still around (and why the white nationalist lobby is growing on a daily basis).
You write about "undoing four centuries of slavery" and "repaying a 400-year debt". This is impossible for us to do and inappropriate to expect us to do it. The point of the civil rights movement was not to repay historical debts, but to correct practices that had clearly become superseded.
The civil rights movement got perverted when it was expanded to "repay historical grievances". At that point, whites, particularly working class whites, became victims because we were asked, no, forced to repay debts for which we were not responsible. Through affirmative action, quotas, and setasides, jobs and benefits were stolen from us. Because of double standards, blacks can get away with comments and behavior that cause whites like John Rocker, Michael Regan, and Dan Schildhauer to lose their jobs. At every one of their rallies, National Socialist Movement (NSM) cadre behave in a scrupulously law-abiding fashion while ARA/OPP anarchists throw horse feces and blacks set fires, yet it's the NSM that's condemned.
And before you dismiss Jewsih domination and manipulation of the civil rights movement, remember this: Of the three civil rights workers killed in Philadelphia, MS, two of them were Yankee Jew carpetbaggers.
We either must allow racism for all or racism for none - no more double standards. Why don't you condemn the NAACP for boycotting South Carolina over the Confederate flag?
Tim ... It is with interest that I read your blog, and your comments regarding the Novak meltdown. True to form, attacks on conservatives have been fierce now that there is a general discrediting of their perceptiveness. The pendulum swings. Poor Novak has been such a fixture in the Press for such a long time, and now it is possible, at his age, there will be insufficient time for a resurrection of his status as an important journalist. Good fortune to you.
